Importantly, all responses are anonymous. You will be identified only by an ID number that will be assigned by the Wakehurst Noticing Nature Research Coordinator, who will keep a record of your name and contact details with your
unique ID code. The research team will never have access to this list to connect your identity with your data. Similarly, the Wakehurst Noticing Nature Research Coordinator will never have access to your data that is linked with the ID code they provided, so will not be able to connect your data to your identity. Your anonymous responses will be used for research purposes only. If you choose to participate, you will use the unique ID number throughout the study (for
both online surveys and within the app). It is important to stress that your individual responses are not the focus, but rather the focus is on responses from our participants as a whole. Upon completion of the research project, the RHUL
research team will provide new unique ID codes that are not connected the information that the Wakehurst Noticing Nature Research Coordinator had access to; this will ensure full anonymity of the data. You may ask the researchers or the Wakehurst Noticing Nature Research Coordinator for a summary of the research findings after the research is
complete.
Your survey responses will be collected on an online survey platform anonymously that stores responses in a password-protected account until these are downloaded and via the app where data will only be accessed by the research team. This ensures that only our research team will have access to your individual anonymous responses.
All responses will be stored in a password-protected, encrypted Dropbox for Business account and will only be accessed between the research team. We will also upload data provided within the app to this folder for analysis. In
the event that findings from this study are published, the fully anonymised responses of all participants may be made openly available within the research community to facilitate collaboration and encourage others to engage with our
findings. Your information will not be identifiable when third parties analyse the data and will never be able to be linked back to you (new random ID code from that used in the study assigned to your data).
